The 3rd GRASP Summer School took place on 29–30 June 2026 in Valladolid, Spain, bringing together 27 participants from different countries for two days of lectures and hands-on training on the GRASP open-source algorithm. The Summer School was organized within the framework of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Staff Exchanges project GRASP-SYNERGY (Grant Agreement No. 101131631).
Hosted by the Fundación Universidad de Valladolid, the programme combined theoretical lectures with practical sessions covering the use of the GRASP algorithm for atmospheric remote sensing applications. Participants explored topics including atmospheric radiative transfer, numerical inversion, aerosol and trace gas retrievals, as well as the exploitation of observations from ground-based and satellite instruments.
The Summer School marked the beginning of a week dedicated to atmospheric remote sensing in Valladolid, preceding the 9th Iberian Meeting on Aerosol Science and Technology (RICTA 2026), where many participants continued the scientific exchange initiated during the training event.
