The Solar Radiation Modification (SRM) workshop, co-hosted by the STATISTICS and ACtIon4Cooling projects, took place on June 17 at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), under the coordination of the European Space Agency (ESA).

The workshop brought together researchers from the aerosol and cloud communities, representing both modeling and Earth observation perspectives, to explore ways to deepen scientific efforts related to SRM. The event featured a series of focused presentations and discussions on the current state of research, key challenges, and future directions in this evolving field.

Key topics addressed during the workshop included:

  • Coordinating ongoing and future SRM research efforts at the European level

  • Strengthening collaboration between the satellite observation and modeling communities

  • Presenting current work from the STATISTICS and ACtIon4Cooling projects to the broader SRM research community

We thank all participants, both on-site and online, for their contributions to the discussions and for fostering valuable exchanges across disciplines.
