The ECAMS (EarthCARE ATLID and MSI Instruments Synergy) project is dedicated to improving the retrieval of aerosol vertical profiles by integrating active and passive satellite measurements.
By combining observations from EarthCARE’s ATLID (Atmospheric LIDar) and MSI (Multi-Spectral Imager) with data from PACE’s polarimeters (SPEXone and HARP-2), ECAMS is building a robust framework for more accurate and comprehensive global aerosol characterization.
This synergy between instruments will enable better understanding of aerosol distribution and its impact on climate and air quality.
