The recent launch of Sentinel-4, Sentinel-5 UVNS, IASI and 3MI now flowing data to the scientific community, confirms the success of a brilliant year for Europe’s effort in improving atmospheric monitoring.

Within this context, GRASP Earth fellows Oleg Dubovik and Pavel Litvinov contributed with two scientific talks:

📌 Development of high-accuracy aerosol products using across-payload synergies of next-generation EUMETSAT and Copernicus instruments.

📌 Operational aerosol and surface retrieval from 3MI/EPS-SG and CO2M MAP polarimeters based on the GRASP algorithm.

Both interventions highlighted the synergetic capabilities of the GRASP algorithm: combining complementary observations across instruments and missions to improve aerosol and surface retrievals. This approach underpins our role in processing the first data streams from 3MI, and sets the stage for future applications to #CO2M and other Copernicus missions.
